Spiral Sprouts of Houston is dedicated to bringing the freshest and highest quality products to our customers. Every tray that leaves our farm has been grown and cared for with the strict standards that enable us to claim our products are 100% Organic!
It is a joy to share products that have such an impact on the health and well-being of our customers.
Our Business
This wheatgrass business was started in 1998 by a husband and wife team, Carolyn and Rick. Their goal and purpose was to bring wheatgrass to the Houston area. Over the years, by trial and error and perseverance, they found the secrets to growing beautiful wheatgrass. As the current owners, Jim, Terrie, and Nikolai are aiming to carry on that commitment to customer service by providing the best wheatgrass in Texas.
Who We Are
Spiral Sprouts is once again a family-owned and operated business.
- Jim Bumpus is a Conroe High School teacher by day and a grass guy by night. He is our total bookkeeper, managing money, order calls, and route planning. He also is part of the planting team lending a hand where need be. Jim delivers on Saturdays.
- Terrie Bumpus has been retired from her job as manager of a Smoothie King store for a year now. This is where we were first introduced to wheatgrass. Terrie takes care of our certifications, advertising, and also helps out in any part of the planting & growing process. She is also the driver on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays with Nikolai.
- Nikolai Six is a 2006 graduate of Conroe High School. After working at the farm with his Mom during his senior year, he decided he wanted to take on the business full time after graduation. Nikolai is the primary farm manager, overseeing all the workings of the barn. He is also the delivery man, bringing our grass to Houston and the surrounding areas on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. He has recently completed the Texas School of Bartending course and is a Certified Mixologist.
